Direct translation: I am not your sister okay.
I miss the moment at uni simply because we are not bound to wear formal outfits all the time. Even during formal days, i still wear jeans but with collared blouse, which i think still look decently formal.
With my recent working mode, i need to wear formal all the time. It is stated clearly and bold-ly in my tenancy agreement. Dressing code that i must comply with, not a big deal anyway.
However, I don't know what's in the way i dress, makes people to call me kakak (sister). Cilaka wei (not a good word to learn,skip this. =D)
"kakak mau tapau? "- Sis, do u want to take away?
"kak, kirim salam ah"
(which i think sangat buduh, kakak2 pun kau mau ka?)- Skip this too =D
"kak,mau minum apa?"- Sis, what do want to drink?
kakak kakak kakak kakak kakak.. Kau ingat saya kakak kau ka? hishhh..
*Sister sister sister sister..You think i am ur sister is it? Hishh..
(it really sounds wrong in english..kekekeke)
Anyway, i'm glad i look like a matured- professional lady to them. If not they wont adress me as such. I only encountered with few people who called me adik (younger version of sister). hahaha..
Never mind, as long as i am still young at heart. hehe ;p

Mell funny thing, I tell my bro & sis, time jalan2 di gaya street, kalau ni penjual panggil sy kaka..sorry la sia mo beli barang dia..and i really do it..hahahaha buduh punya perangai kan>>

But then -- I have the same prob with you. Cannot accept people calling me kakak!!!! It's been a pet peeve of mine since secondary school. *maklumlah, skolah asrama*. :p
jan ko kecil hati ba mell..it just a way of expressing their respect ba tu..hehe..if makcik oso panggil u akak/kakak..emm..something is not right la..hehe..should be glad that they respect and think of u above them..hopefully la..manatau d belakang..
Tal : it's a form of respect kan,junior memang selalunya address senior using kakak,so it's acceptable la.

well, 'kakak' is so much more polite than what i'm usually called.
'Ah Chai'! What, you think I'm a small kid ka call me 'ah chai'? And that's from girls (usually) who are younger than me!

Perry: LOL. The only reason i'm so geram being called as kakak is because i dont think i'm that old to be called as such. heh :p. Even my biological younger siblings dont call me kakak. :D
